Prakruti (nature), Reveals all secrets to He, who can Keep It a secret. In sadhana, as one traverses the ethereal world, the initial interactions with the so called lower level entities is the first test. One can easily discern a student of tantra who will go far, from one who will not make much progress in this first instance.
Tantra, is the path of moksha for KaliYuga, in KaliYuga tantric practise become an open secret, yet the Suitability tests of a brilliant pupil or student is based in his (or her) ability to stay silent when the ethereal caresses your spine in the middle of the night as you sit alone on the asana. I see many try to attain the tantric mind, failing poorly ending up as mere parrots of the written word, Maya of the MahaMaya Kali, the Empress and Emperor of Tantra has exposed them so.
For first two years, a tantric pupil must embrace absolute secrecy, of any and all experiences. He must not even bother the Guru for trivial experiences like sounds from unknown beings, knocks of the door(?), lucid dreams, dreams etc. Like a kindergartener, asking for his snot to be cleaned. Bloodline weakness, lack of Bhairava Adhara.
A Great Secret — Smashan Kali. Now listen carefully, when Gurudev tested my suitability, he gauged silence as my biggest virtue. It might seem simple enough, but if you refer the second sentence, the higher is your capability to hold secrets within you, higher is your rapid rise. He who can imbibe deafing silence, can groom a full fledged samshana around him, while appearing absolutely nonchalant. Gurudev ones declared about Me, '…he doesn't need to go to the Smashan at all, he can invoke her anywhere, in his office, bus stop, anywhere … She will come for him.'
A man walking into a Smashan, to invoke Kali, and a man walking into his everyday home to invoke the Smashan into his home. There is elemental difference between these two kinds of Smashan Kali Sadhakas. The first, rarely masters the Smashan, he becomes a part of it, and you will always here them say, 'she won't let me leave', it is because you are taking the more convenient route within the most extreme sadhana path. The more painful one, to bring the Smashan to you, there in lies the greatest secret, she will then move with you, you will find yourself able to weild that Shakti, without being bound down. The Smashan, then walks with You.
For that, the test begins from Day 1 of Kali sadhana, a pupil of Tantra, who makes exceptional progress in a form like Bhadra Kali, Aghora Kali or Dhakshin Kali, for a period of three years, can then think of Smashan Kali. They must then sit with their Guru, and analyse suitability. One must remember, True Smashan Kali sadhakas are less then 1% of the total Kali Sadhakas.
But remember, ARE YOU WELL ROASTED? HAS YOUR BODY BEEN ROASTED TO A CRISP? Then, She allows you into Smashan Kali sadhana.
